Take ownership of the operational platform that supports our Treaty and Facultative businesses across Central and Eastern Europe. Based in our Prague office in the vibrant Karlín area, you will help the business run effectively by connecting local priorities with regional and global expertise.
As Senior Business Operations Manager, you'll work at the intersection of finance, governance, compliance, legal, people and office operations. This is a broad, hands-on position for someone who enjoys understanding how the different parts of a business connect, building trusted relationships and making sure things get done.
How you'll make an impact
- Act as a key local contact for governance, compliance and legal matters, coordinating requirements with specialist teams and external partners while ensuring local topics are appropriately managed.
- Coordinate the CEE entity’s financial activities with internal and external Finance partners, ensuring timely budgeting, forecasting, revenue and cost reporting, audits, treasury activities and annual closings that support sound business decisions and financial control.
- Support local Board activities across CEE, coordinating meetings, documentation and follow-up while developing an understanding of the business topics and discussions involved.
- Monitor key regulatory, data privacy, business continuity and corporate governance requirements, coordinating with regional and global teams to keep the Prague entity aligned and escalating risks or gaps when action is needed.
- Coordinate people-related operational matters including HR and payroll topics, professional development requirements, health and safety, and IT onboarding, while line managing a Team Assistant.
- Act as the operational interface for IT, Real Estate and Facilities, including office requirements, suppliers, procurement and landlord-related matters.
- Organise local events, client meetings and internal activities, working with Marketing and other teams where appropriate and taking a practical, hands-on approach to successful delivery.
- Represent the Prague business in wider operational forums, connecting local needs with Gallagher's regional and global functions and continuously improving the way operational activities are managed.
About you
Here's what you'll bring to the role:
- Strong organisational and operational experience gained in an international business, professional services, legal, consulting, insurance, financial services or similarly complex environment.
- Ability to take ownership across a broad range of business topics, like operations, executive support, finance, legal or consulting.
- A degree in law, finance, economics, business administration, international business or a related discipline would be beneficial but is not essential.
- Confidence working with financial information and business processes, with the analytical ability to understand figures, budgets and reporting requirements and collaborate effectively with Finance specialists.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills, combined with sound judgement, attention to detail and the ability to understand complex discussions and translate them into actions.
- A natural relationship builder who can work credibly with senior stakeholders, specialist functions, external partners and colleagues across a matrix organisation.
- Fluency in Czech and English is essential. Knowledge of another language commonly used within the CEE region would be an advantage.
- A pragmatic and hands-on mindset. You'll be equally comfortable supporting a Board meeting, coordinating a compliance requirement or helping make sure an important office event runs smoothly.
If you're looking for a role that gives you broad exposure to how an international business operates and the opportunity to take genuine ownership across a diverse range of topics, we'd like to hear from you.
