Job Description:
Job Summary: Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in material movement or handling, receiving, loading, unloading, transporting, stacking, order filling, shipping, and maintaining stock in a storeroom or warehouse. Review shipping or receiving orders and requests for movement of materials and products.Essential Responsibilities/Activities:
- Provides the highest level of customer service to the Production team to maximize company success.
- Hires and trains staff, communicates job expectations, and implements company policies and procedures.
- Develops schedules and assigns work to team members to ensure efficient flow of inventory from the warehouse to the production floor.
- Reviews and approves hours worked on a reoccurring basis.
- Evaluates inventory organization for most efficient space utilization and makes recommendations to improve processes.
- Oversees the efficient sorting, maintaining, and staging of products.
- Maintains accurate inventory levels through cycle counts and/or daily checks.
- Ensures inventory is appropriately labeled and placed in the accurate bin locations.
- Ensures forklift safety inspections are completed.
- Supervises salvage of damaged or used material and that appropriate action is taken.
- Logs non-conforming product and verifies returned goods.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED and 2 years of warehouse or storeroom experience.
License(s): None
Certification(s): AAON Forklift Certification
