Web Designer

We are Softliner GmbH, a young striving online company. Generally, we develop our own shop / SaaS systems. We are looking for a senior web designer to join our company remotely. In this role, you will be responsible for design conception, realization and improvement. You are setting the gold standard of the small industry we are in. Through your creative abilities you are able to identify new, improved ways of guiding our users through the sales experience. You know that a good design requires more than just pixels; it requires thought. Sometimes you will work closely with our backend engineers to ensure a close fit between front- and backend.  Responsibilities Own the frontend, from idea to UX to pixel-perfect executionTurn your designs into production-ready, systems-based HTML and CSS. Where needed, vue.js, reactjs or any other framework you are used to working with.Deep understanding of UX and its impact on conversionsPartner with our backend-engineers to establish a clear connection between front and backendCollaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the business need and translate goals into effective designsA portfolio that demonstrates masterful understanding and application of layout, color, and typographyA strong body of marketing work that tell a compelling and consistent story about a product, business, or initiativeExperience collaborating closely with non-designers and bringing design thinking and processes to a wider team or organizationAbility to write semantic HTML and functional CSS to bring design to life in the browserExperience with designing and/or building responsive, mobile-first web pages.Ability to work in an autonomous, remote-friendly environment where communication and collaboration are frequently asynchronous and in writing. Preferred Qualifications Expertise in frontend development with HTML and CSSExperience in product or visual designExperience in data-driven design and testingExperience contributing to and/or maintaining a front-end design system or style guide You can expect a competitive salary from us.
