Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Gate in Minneapolis, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will help manage access control, monitor entry points, and support a secure environment through visible presence, strong communication, and customer service. In this role, you will help to deter security-related incidents while assisting employees, visitors, and drivers. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or delivery documentation, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, yards, docks, and other designated parts of the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, gate areas, trailer lots, and perimeter, noting unusual activity, damaged barriers, and/or conditions that may require follow-up.
• Maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and/or shipment access records, support screening procedures for vendors and contractors, and provide clear directions based on site protocols and operational needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
