Promotions & Sales Representative
Norsan Media is looking for a hands-on, energetic, and Sales-driven Promotions & Sales Representative who enjoys being out in the community, executing live events, and turning promotional opportunities into results.
This is an active, field-based role for someone who enjoys working with businesses, setting up events, and representing our media brands at client activations, remote broadcasts, and festivals. Beyond event execution, this role will sell radio promotions, sponsorships, and branded activations that connect clients with our audiences.
What You'll Do
- Drive promotional sales: Identify, pitch, and sell radio promotions, client activations, event sponsorships, and integrated marketing opportunities.
- Execute live events and activations: Set up, operate, and break down promotional booths, tents, banners, tables, sound equipment, and other event materials.
- Be hands-on: Load, unload, transport, and organize promotional equipment and inventory, including lifting and carrying items weighing 50 pounds or more as needed.
- Work weekends and nontraditional hours: Attend festivals, concerts, remote broadcasts, client events, and community activations, including evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
- Represent our brands: Engage with attendees, distribute promotional materials, generate leads, and create a positive experience for clients and the community.
- Support integrated campaigns: Help execute promotions across radio, Hola News, digital platforms, and social media.
- Build client relationships: Work alongside the Sales team to develop promotional concepts, fulfill sponsorship commitments, and identify opportunities for repeat business.
- Coordinate event logistics: Prepare equipment, manage promotional inventory, maintain vehicles or equipment as assigned, and ensure events are executed professionally and safely.
- Track results: Document event attendance, capture photos and videos, collect leads when appropriate, and submit timely event recaps and campaign reports.
- Collaborate across departments: Work with Sales, Marketing, Programming, and Digital teams to bring promotional campaigns to life.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Fluent in Spanish; bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
- A hands-on, can-do attitude and willingness to take initiative.
- Ability to perform physical event duties, including lifting, carrying, loading, and unloading equipment.
- Availability to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and flexible hours based on the event schedule.
- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Sales experience or the confidence and willingness to pitch, promote, and sell sponsorships and promotional opportunities.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record, if driving is required for the role.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
- Previous experience in radio promotions, event production, field marketing, sales, or community outreach is a plus.
