  • Lead and resolve employee relations matters through coaching, conflict resolution, and formal investigations.
  • Document and manage investigations in accordance with legal requirements and internal protocols.
  • Guide school leaders in corrective action, disciplinary decisions, and policy interpretation.
  • Foster a positive, compliant, and respectful workplace culture across assigned campuses.

3. Performance, Talent & Succession:

  • Support leaders in managing employee performance, including coaching, feedback, and performance plans.
  • Participate in talent review and succession planning discussions to support leadership development.
  • Maintain strong visibility into school-level staffing needs and talent risks.
  • Advise leaders on documentation and process alignment for performance management.

4. Multi-State HR Compliance & Leave Management:

  • Manage the full cycle of employee leaves, including FMLA, ADA, workers’ comp, and state-specific leave programs.
  • Provide guidance on complex compliance issues across multiple states and jurisdictions.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate compliance risks related to HR practices.

5. HR Program Implementation & Regional Support:

  • Lead or support campus-level implementation of HR programs, trainings, and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate position management and headcount alignment in partnership with academic and operational leaders.
  • Contribute to compensation research and support related proposals as needed.
  • Facilitate teacher contract renewals and employee engagement processes across the region.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, including employee relations, performance management, and coaching.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a multi-site, regional, or field-based HR role.

  • Experience managing the full cycle of employee leave processes (FMLA, ADA, workers’ comp, and state-specific programs).
  • Strong client-service orientation with the ability to influence and advise leaders independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HR experience in K–12 education, charter schools, or other highly regulated environments.
