# Role Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Developer to join our Operations Workbench team. You will be a key contributor to the development of our new, cutting-edge platform. You will apply your deep technical expertise to build and implement robust solutions, while promoting engineering best practices.

This role is for an experienced developer who is passionate about hands-on implementation and collaboration. You will be a senior member of the team, delivering high-quality, scalable solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

# Key Responsibilities

• Software Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.
• Quality Advocacy: Promote best practices for engineering excellence in coding, testing, build, deployment, and the maintenance of high-quality software.
• Solution Implementation: Act as an active contributor to design and a hands-on implementer of code.
• Agile Mindset: Actively participate in scrum activities such as sprint planning and refinement, offering technical insights for backlog items.
• Technical Excellence: Deliver robust and efficient technical solutions, adhering to best-in-class engineering principles and practices.
• Collaboration: Partner with the Scrum Master, Product Owner, QA, Architects and other global team members to successfully deliver technical solutions and reusable components.
• Stakeholder Management: Work with Business, Operations, and Production Support stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver effective solutions.
• Learning Mindset: Keep up with the latest development practices in the industry and Citi with an eye to implement them in our team such as – Gen AI, DORA metrics, etc.

# Required Skills, Experience, and Competencies

Professional Experience

· 6+ years of hands-on software development experience.

· Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

· Experience working in mixed/virtual/diverse environments.

Technical Expertise

• Expert-level front-end development experience with React or Angular.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Good understanding in development of responsive and scalable web applications.
• Experience with test frameworks like Jest, Mocha, React Test library etc.
• Strong event-driven architecture, design and development skills.
• Experience with writing and deploying services as containers to a K8s environment for example Red Hat OpenShift.
• Understanding of DevOps automation tools.
• Understanding and passion for writing clean code.
• Understanding of TDD and BDD testing and working closely with analysts on user stories and test criteria.

• A passion for adopting industry best practices and new technologies with an exploratory mindset.

Desirable Skills

• Backend development experience with Java.
