  • Lead or support utility projects and modifications from requirements and design through implementation, testing, qualification, and turnover.
  • Own or support deviations, CAPAs, change controls, investigations, and effectiveness checks.
  • Maintain accurate, current, and inspection-ready drawings, specifications, calculations, system descriptions, and lifecycle records.
  • Support planned shutdowns, utility outages, start-ups, emergency response, restoration, and system return-to-service.
  • Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, energy efficiency, water consumption, sustainability, and lifecycle cost.
  • Manage technical vendors and provide guidance and mentoring to engineers and technical personnel.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Health, capacity, reliability, compliance, and lifecycle management of assigned systems
  • Manufacturing downtime attributable to the assigned equipment portfolio
  • Timely technical troubleshooting, risk assessment, and escalation
  • Successful delivery and turnover of assigned modifications and projects
  • Accurate deviation assessments, change controls, CAPAs, and technical documentation
  • Effective shutdown, contingency, restoration, and return-to-service planning

About You:

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of engineering experience supporting utility, facility, manufacturing, or process systems.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment with knowledge of cGMP, OSHA, environmental, and engineering requirements.
  • Demonstrated expertise in one or more utility areas, such as HVAC, high-purity water, clean steam, compressed gases, plant steam, chilled water, or heating water.
  • Experience with engineering calculations, equipment sizing, troubleshooting, design reviews, project execution, and equipment lifecycle management.
  • Working knowledge of deviations, CAPAs, change control, commissioning, qualification, and maintenance strategies.
  • Strong problem-solving, technical-writing, project-management, collaboration, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three -Five or more years supporting pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, or similarly regulated manufacturing.
  • Experience with campus utilities, classified-space HVAC, high-purity water and steam, energy management, or business-continuity planning.
  • Familiarity with BMS, EMS, DCS/PLC interfaces, CMMS, data historians, and engineering drawing systems.
  • Knowledge of applicable ASME, NFPA, OSHA, EPA, ISPE, ASHRAE, and Good Engineering Practice standards.
  • Professional Engineer, Certified Energy Manager, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or comparable certification.

Working Conditions:
