Want to Help Energy Clients Shape the Future and Lead the Energy Transition?

Join Our Resources Team Advising Clients Across the Energy, Utilities and Renewables Industries!

Do you want to guide leading Nordic energy companies through their critical transition to future-proof solutions? At Accenture, our Resources team is growing and looking for experienced Consultants to help global energy companies overcome challenges, optimize performance, unlock growth opportunities, and innovate their businesses.

Working at the intersection of industry expertise, AI & Data, and business transformation, you will help clients navigate complex industry challenges and accelerate the transition towards a more sustainable and resilient energy future. Together with multidisciplinary teams across Accenture, you will combine strategic thinking, industry insight, and technology-enabled innovation to deliver tangible business outcomes.

Your role:

As a Consultant in Resources, you'll be part of a supportive, dynamic team solving exciting challenges for leading companies in the Energy, Utilities, and Renewables industries. You will lead project workstreams, provide strategic recommendations to clients, manage project timelines and resources effectively, and develop and deliver high-quality presentations.

In this role, you will tackle complex business challenges, lead project workstreams, and drive operating model design, strategic planning, due diligence, and organizational improvements. You will help clients translate strategic ambitions into measurable business outcomes by leveraging technology, AI, data, and new ways of working. You'll play a key part in helping clients optimize operations, achieve growth, and strategically position themselves for the future energy market, while continuously developing your skills and expertise.

The appropriate employment level will be determined as part of the recruitment process, in consultation with the candidate.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage transformation projects: Oversee analysis, coordinate and lead resources, facilitate strategic planning sessions with client leadership, and ensure successful delivery of business transformation initiatives.
  • Drive innovation: Apply AI, data, analytics, and emerging technologies to help clients improve operations, enhance decision-making, accelerate project execution, and unlock new sources of business value.
  • Optimize business operations: Assess and improve client operating models, organizational structures, processes, and workflows, ensuring they are well-positioned to achieve strategic objectives and future growth.
  • Facilitate workshops and deliver insights: Conduct workshops and presentations, develop business cases, and provide strategic recommendations that help clients address key challenges and opportunities.
  • Be a trusted advisor: Guide clients through the energy transition and help them navigate changing industry dynamics, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies.
  • Support business growth: Identify opportunities, strengthen client relationships, and contribute to proposal development and business development activities for future projects.

Typical projects could be:

  • Analysis of an energy company's operations, project portfolio, digital landscape, and data capabilities, assessing gaps to leading industry players and developing roadmap recommendations supported by AI, analytics, and industry-leading practices.
  • Comprehensive market and business analysis for an energy client pursuing growth opportunities, including development of market entry approaches, operating model considerations, capability requirements, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Supporting an energy company in redesigning its operating model and organizational setup to improve efficiency, enhance agility, and support strategic priorities.
  • Helping clients define and implement AI- and data-enabled transformation initiatives to improve business performance and accelerate value realization.

What's in it for you?

  • Competitive salary, attractive bonus schemes, occupational pension schemes, share savings programme, and enhanced parental leave benefits.
  • Professional development including your own personal budget for skills development, access to training, certifications, conferences, and other learning activities.
  • Monthly community meetings with a focus on personal and professional development.
  • Larger and smaller social gatherings such as payday parties and annual celebrations.
  • A wide range of sports and interest groups, including football, running, mountain sports and skiing.
  • Access to a global network of industry and specialist knowledge.
  • An inclusive working environment with inspiring and skilled colleagues and leaders.
  • Flexible working hours prioritizing work-life balance.
  • Overtime pay options for Analyst & Consultant level.

We believe you have:

  • Master's degree with strong academic results in a relevant field, such as finance, industrial economics, economics, change management, business administration, engineering, mathematics, or other relevant disciplines.
  • 2–5 years of experience in management consulting, strategy consulting, business transformation, technology advisory, or relevant experience from the Energy, Utilities, and Renewables industries.
  • Understanding of the Energy, Utilities and Renewables value chain, industry dynamics, and key trends impacting the sector.
  • Experience collaborating in cross-functional and global teams and thriving in creative problem-solving environments.
  • Excellent communication skills in Norwegian and English, both written and verbal. As many of our client engagements are conducted in Norwegian, professional working proficiency in Norwegian is mandatory for success in the role.
  • A commercial mindset and the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities together with other Accenture leaders.
  • Interest in AI, data, innovative solutions, and digital transformation.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
