The Strategic Planning & Execution Lead serves as a key execution partner to ASO Management, translating management priorities and strategic initiatives into actionable plans and ensuring successful execution across ASO.
Acting as a bridge between ASO Management, Heads of Departments, and frontline teams, the incumbent drives organizational alignment, accountability, execution discipline, and follow-through across all major initiatives.
The Strategic Planning & Execution Lead actively participates in key management meetings and governance forums, organizes discussions into clear action plans, and helps define what needs to be done, in what order, by whom, and by when.
Through proactive coordination, stakeholder engagement, progress monitoring, and issue escalation, the role drives execution discipline and supports the successful delivery of strategic initiatives.
The position provides management visibility across key programs and initiatives, facilitates informed decision-making, and promotes organizational alignment, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout ASO.
Success in this role is measured by the effective execution and completion of ASO's strategic priorities, management directives, and organizational commitments.
Job Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Management Support
- Support ASO Management in developing and executing strategic priorities, transformation plans, and organizational objectives.
- Translate management priorities into executable action plans with clear ownership, sequencing, timelines, and expected outcomes.
- Maintain a consolidated view of all management-priority initiatives and organizational commitments.
- Prepare management presentations, briefing materials, reports, and executive communications.
Executive Coordination & Communication
- Participate in key management meetings, leadership discussions, governance forums, and strategic reviews.
- Capture and consolidate key decisions, action items, risks, dependencies, and follow-up activities.
- Facilitate effective communication between ASO Management, Heads of Departments, and frontline teams.
- Ensure consistent messaging and alignment across departments and initiatives.
Initiative Execution & Portfolio Oversight
- Translate management discussions into structured execution plans with clear ownership, priorities, and timelines.Drive execution of strategic initiatives and management-sponsored programs across ASO.
- Establish implementation roadmaps, milestone tracking, accountability frameworks, and performance measures.
- Continuously monitor execution progress across all major initiatives and proactively intervene when actions become overdue, stalled, or misaligned with management expectations.
- Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain momentum.
- Escalate critical issues and recommend corrective actions when required.
- Ensure that all management-sponsored initiatives have clearly assigned ownership and are tracked through to completion.
- Proactively follow up with stakeholders to resolve execution gaps,clarify accountability, and remove delivery bottlenecks.
- Escalate unresolved issues and at-risk initiatives to ASO Management, together with recommended actions and recovery plans.
- Maintain visibility of initiative ownership, status, risks, dependencies, and next steps across ASO.
- Drive organizational follow-through by working closely with Heads of Departments and Team Leads to ensure commitments are delivered on time.
Governance & Performance Management
- Support governance processes, management reviews, and strategic planning cycles.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), strategic milestones, and organizational commitments.
- Evaluate initiative effectiveness and recommend improvements to governance, execution processes, and organizational performance.
- Facilitate structured decision-making through analysis, reporting, and recommendations.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships across ASO functions and teams.
- Collaborate closely with Heads of Departments, Team Leads, Project Managers, Risk, Governance, and Strategy stakeholders.
- Foster alignment, transparency, and collaboration across organizational boundaries.
- Act as a trusted advisor and coordination point for enterprise-wide initiatives.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in banking, financial services,business management, executive office, COO office,strategic execution, transformation management, or related functions.
- Proven experience supporting senior executives, leadership teams, or enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience in portfolio management, organizational planning, management reporting, or executive office functions is an advantage.
- Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
- Professional certifications in Project Management, Strategic Planning, Business Analysis, Governance, Agile, Change Management, or related areas are advantageous.
- Proven experience in coordinating and driving cross-functional strategic programs.
- Experience within a large financial institution or highly regulated environment preferred.
- Strong strategic planning, organizational, and execution management skills.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong understanding of governance, risk management, reporting, and organizational effectiveness.
- Ability to synthesize complex information and present clear recommendations to senior management.
- Strong project and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong business English communication capability; Japanese language skills are an advantage.
- Understands the broader organizational context and translates strategy into executable plans and measurable outcomes.
