The Business Engagement team at HedgeServ is seeking experienced professionals from NAV or Middle Office functions to support the testing, deployment, and validation of our business-critical applications. This manager-level position plays a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality solutions through strategic testing oversight and close partnership with development and business stakeholders.
The successful candidate will help shape, enhance and establish testing frameworks, processes, and controls, ensuring applications meet defined business requirements, company quality standards, and operational expectations.
Key responsibilities include leading and performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Client-Specific Quality Assurance (QA), and driving initiatives that improve efficiency and effectiveness across NAV and Middle Office operations. Previous experience in the software development lifecycle is not required; however, an interest in testing methodologies, automation, and continuous process improvement is essential.
Key Accountabilities of the Role
Note: Responsibilities may evolve based on client structure and business needs.
- Provide business oversight and validation of product enhancements, leveraging NAV and Middle Office expertise to evaluate expected and unexpected outcomes against the requirements and expectations of internal users and clients.
- Champion application quality and testing standards across global teams, partnering with stakeholders in New York, Sofia, Cork, and Dublin.
- Collaborate with Product Development and Client Services teams to define testing strategies and ensure they effectively support key client deliverables as well as customised solutions.
- Establish and maintain acceptance criteria, testing frameworks, and validation processes for both standard and client-specific workflows.
- Perform release validation activities, ensuring defects and risks are appropriately identified, prioritized, and managed, while coordinating findings with the relevant product owners.
- Promote the adoption of automation and continuous improvement practices to increase testing efficiency and coverage.
- Facilitate business sign-off for releases and contribute to the rollout, adoption, and deprecation planning of new technologies, workflows, and processes.
- Lead the definition, execution, and review of test scenarios for new functionality in collaboration with Product and Business teams.
- Serve as a trusted SME and escalation point for business process, operational, and testing-related matters.
- Identify and drive opportunities to improve operational effectiveness, data quality, and client service delivery.
Pre-requisite knowledge, skills and experience
Required Experience & Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in a NAV or Middle Office role.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Computer Science.
- Strong systems, product and process knowledge
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
