Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Weekend Shift Production Supervisor to oversee and manage production operations during weekend shifts. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient manufacturing processes, maintaining quality standards, and leading a team to achieve production targets at our Hitachi facility.
Job Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers during weekend shifts, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
* Monitor production output, analyze performance data, and implement corrective actions to address any deviations or inefficiencies.
* Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and quality control procedures.
* Train, mentor, and motivate production team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
* Identify and resolve production issues, equipment malfunctions, and personnel conflicts in a timely and effective manner.
* Collaborate with other departments (e.g., maintenance, quality control, logistics) to optimize production flow and resolve interdepartmental challenges.
* Prepare and submit accurate production reports, including shift summaries, incident reports, and performance metrics.
* Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
* Manage inventory of raw materials and finished goods on the production line during weekend shifts.
* Conduct performance reviews for team members and provide constructive feedback.
Job Qualifications
* High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Administration) preferred.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a production environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
* Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control principles, and safety regulations.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
* Proficiency in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
* Flexibility to work weekend shifts (e.g., Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Monday) and occasional overtime as needed.
