Job Title: Snowflake Data Lead
As a Snowflake Data Lead, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable data solutions on the Snowflake platform. You will provide technical leadership to data engineering teams while driving enterprise data integration, data warehousing, and analytics initiatives. The role requires strong expertise in Snowflake, SQL, Python, and data architecture, along with the ability to mentor team members and collaborate with business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of Snowflake-based data warehouse and ETL/ELT solutions.
- Build and optimize data pipelines, stored procedures, tasks, streams, and data transformation frameworks.
- Develop complex SQL queries, analytical functions, and performance-tuned data processing solutions.
- Implement scalable data ingestion frameworks for structured and semi-structured data.
- Drive data modeling, data quality, governance, and performance optimization initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership through design reviews, code reviews, and mentoring of Data Engineers.
- Collaborate with Business Units, Architects, and Product Owners to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Support production deployments, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of data platforms.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of overall IT experience
- 4+ years of experience in complex SQL, stored procedures, analytical functions, and query optimization
- 3+ years of hands-on Snowflake Data Engineering experience
- Strong experience with Python programming and automation.
- Solid understanding of Data Warehousing, ETL/ELT concepts, dimensional modeling, and data architecture.
- Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, Matillion, DBT, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of database design, data modeling, DDL/DML, and data governance principles.
- Experience leading technical teams and managing deliverables across multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- SnowPro Certification
- AWS Cloud experience
- GitHub/CI-CD experience
- Agile delivery experience
- Banking, Cards, or Financial Services domain knowledge.
