The Role:
Our site in Franklin, MA is seeking a R&D Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2027 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration.
In this role, you will support the development and characterization of advanced adsorbent materials used in filtration, purification, and chemical separation applications. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in material characterization, adsorption testing, product development, and laboratory-scale experimentation while working closely with experienced scientists and engineers.
What You’ll Do:
Characterize adsorbent materials and help develop a database for the lab.
Conduct adsorption capacity studies for various chemicals and contaminants, including sample preparation, experimentation, and documentation.
Support the development and optimization of new adsorbent media through experimental design, testing, and performance assessment.
Collaborate with R&D teams on product development activities, technical reporting, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining safe laboratory practices.
What We Seek:
Pursuing Bachelors’ or Masters in below mentioned majors.
Strong laboratory and data analysis skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and scientific data analysis.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year:
Chemical Engineering Material Science/ Engineering
Eligibility:
Must be a currently enrolled student
Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through June
Must be familiar with the university’s requirements to participate in a co-op program
