Advise the business on a broad range of Dutch tax topics and assess the tax implications of business activities and organisational changes.
Support and advise on cross-border arrangements involving the Netherlands.
Provide tax expertise relating to Dutch entities holding or interacting with foreign subsidiaries, including businesses across South America, Africa and Eastern Europe.
Play an important role in bp’s relationship with the Dutch tax authorities, maintaining open and constructive communication and supporting bp’s horizontal monitoring obligations, including regular engagement with the tax authorities and providing transparency around relevant developments, changes and business models.
Monitor changes in Dutch tax legislation and assess their potential impact on bp’s activities.
Support the management of tax risks, audits and more complex or contentious tax matters.
Work closely with subject matter experts across Tax, including Planning, Transfer Pricing and Tax Operations.
Partner with senior business and finance stakeholders to ensure tax considerations are appropriately reflected in business decisions.
Embrace new technologies, including AI, and explore opportunities to use technology to improve tax processes, efficiency and ways of working.

We are looking for someone with:
Extensive experience and strong technical expertise in Dutch domestic taxation.
A very good understanding of international and cross-border arrangements.
A broad understanding of the Dutch corporate tax environment and its application within a large organisation.
Experience working with complex international and cross-border structures or arrangements.
Experience dealing with, or a strong understanding of, the Dutch tax authorities and horizontal monitoring.
A university degree in Tax Law (Fiscaal Recht) or Tax Economics (Fiscale Economie), or an equivalent degree in taxation, law, economics or finance, with a strong academic background in Dutch and/or international taxation.
Experience gained within a multinational organisation, major advisory firm or similarly complex international environment.
Strong business acumen and the ability to translate complex tax topics into clear, practical advice.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
A diplomatic and collaborative approach, with the confidence to build relationships and influence senior stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills and sound judgement when making risk-based decisions.
The ability to work effectively with multiple tax subject matter experts across different jurisdictions.
An open and forward-looking approach to technology, including AI, with an interest in how emerging technologies can support tax processes and ways of working.
