As Head Launch & Field Excellence, you will have a unique opportunity to shape and build GSK Germany's future Launch & Field Excellence organisation, establishing new capabilities, operating models and ways of working that will support Commercial and Medical success for years to come.

This is a highly strategic leadership role focused on creating competitive advantage through world-class launch excellence, customer engagement, field force effectiveness and business enablement capabilities. You will play a pivotal role in defining how GSK Germany prepares for and delivers future launches, engages customers, allocates resources and leverages data, analytics and technology to maximise business impact.

Leading organisational transformation across Launch Excellence, Field Force Effectiveness and Enablement, you will partner closely with senior Commercial, Medical and Enterprise leaders to design and implement innovative approaches that enhance execution, accelerate growth and strengthen GSK's position in an increasingly dynamic healthcare environment.

You will lead and develop a high-performing team, influence senior stakeholders across the organisation and create a sustainable foundation that enables long-term business success and future pipeline growth.

In this role you will

  • Define and continuously evolve the vision, strategy and operating model for Launch & Field Force Excellence across Commercial and Medical organisations.

  • Ensure alignment between pipeline planning, launch readiness, field effectiveness, territory optimisation and sales enablement activities.

  • Lead end-to-end launch excellence activities, from early asset planning through launch execution and post-launch optimisation.

  • Provide strategic direction for customer engagement models, targeting methodologies, performance management frameworks and field force effectiveness initiatives.

  • Oversee territory design, resource allocation methodologies and deployment strategies, ensuring investment decisions are supported by robust analytics and business cases.

  • Drive operational excellence through process optimisation, CRM adoption, incentive frameworks, digital transformation and AI-enabled solutions.

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of specialists and managers, building a high-performing organisation and strong talent pipeline.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, translating complex analyses into strategic recommendations and business implications.

Why You?

Basic Qualifications & Skills

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • University degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, Economics, Data Science, Health Economics or a related discipline.

  • Significant experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology or healthcare organisations, with substantial exposure to Commercial Excellence, Field Force Effectiveness, Launch Excellence, Sales Operations, Analytics, Business Planning or related areas.

  • Proven leadership experience managing teams and developing talent within complex matrix organisations.

  • Strong business acumen and understanding of pharmaceutical market dynamics, customer behaviour and healthcare ecosystems.

  • Advanced analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex datasets and translate insights into business actions.

  • Experience establishing new functions, operating models, governance structures and cross-functional capabilities from the ground up.

  • Demonstrated success leading organisational transformation and change initiatives.

  • Experience working directly with senior executives and leadership teams on strategic business decisions.

  • Strong knowledge of Digital, Data & Analytics capabilities, including self-service analytics, customer insights, forecasting approaches and emerging AI applications.

  • Experience working with external partners, vendors and data providers such as IQVIA and similar organisations.

  • Fluent written and spoken German and English.

Germany Salary Range / Gehaltsbandbreiten Deutschland: EUR 83,250 to EUR 138,750The annual gross base salary range for new hires in this position is listed above for each applicable location.
