Description:
* Care provided is appropriate to the age of the patients served, as defined in the scope of
service for the area of practice.
* Completes cardiology procedures paying particular attention to all details insuring a
quality study.
* Reviews all procedures obtained by new hires and students for accuracy, correct data and
technical data.
* Demonstrates proper technique for performing routine ECG s.
* Acquires Signal Average ECG s according to physician s specifications.
* Operates holter scanning equipment, scans are thoroughly analyzed, significant data
recognized and representative strips documented.
* Assists in the performance of stress testing, treadmill exercise routine,
nuclear
medicine and stress echocardiography. Proper procedure is adhered
to 100% of the time.
Accurate data is obtained for physician interpretation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Minimum one (1) year of work experience; Certified Technician is preferred.
* Requires ability to perform all basic electrocardiographic procedures in a timely and
efficient manner.
LICENSURE
* Current CPR required
* Prefer National Certification for Cardiology Technicians.
