Description
We are looking for a Purchase Engineer with relevant experience to manage procurement activities and ensure the timely availability of materials for production. The role involves vendor management, purchase order processing, inventory monitoring, and coordination with suppliers and internal teams to support smooth manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Procure raw materials, components, and other goods as per production requirements.
Coordinate with production, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely material availability.
Identify and manage vendors and obtain quotations as per company procurement policies.
Create and process purchase orders and ensure accurate documentation.
Follow up with suppliers for timely deliveries and order commitments.
Coordinate with the Accounts team for invoice processing and payment-related matters.
Resolve invoice and purchase order discrepancies.
Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimum stock to support production while minimizing excess inventory.
Continuously improve purchasing processes and supplier management practices.
Required Skills:
Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Engineering or related field.
2 to 5 years of experience to manage procurement activities and ensure the timely availability of materials for production
Experience in manufacturing or industrial purchasing environments.
Knowledge of procurement and purchasing processes.
Vendor management and supplier coordination.
Purchase order and inventory management.
Good negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
