Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Whiteville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government corrections location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. You will support a professional environment through clear communication, exceptional customer service, and integrity. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, residents, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, perimeter areas, and parking locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized entry attempts, suspicious activity, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation while maintaining professional communication with personnel and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An Armed Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
