Summary of Job Duties:
The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients receiving services within the Electrophysiology (EP) Clinic. Responsibilities include clinical assessment, patient triage, care coordination, patient education, medication-related inquiries, referral coordination, and collaboration with electrophysiologists, advanced practice providers, technologists, and other interdisciplinary team members.The RN supports patients with cardiac arrhythmias and other electrophysiologic disorders throughout the continuum of care, including coordination of diagnostic testing, procedural planning and follow-up, cardiac implantable electronic device management, remote monitoring, and transitions between inpatient and outpatient care.
The RN provides education to patients and families regarding disease processes, medications, procedures, treatment plans, and self-management strategies while contributing to individualized plans of care. This role maintains accountability for patient safety, quality outcomes, patient experience, and efficient delivery of patient-centered care.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with an Associate's Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelor's in Nursing, or Master's in Nursing
Valid RN License
Minimum of 1 year Registered Nursing experience
Preferred Qualifications:
2 or more years of RN experience in a cardiac, critical care, or procedural/interventional setting

Responsibilities:
Collects and documents assessment data from patients and/or others per UAMS standard.
Develops patient's Plan of Care (POC) per department/unit standards utilizing assessment data.
Evaluates the progress of patients toward attainment of desired outcomes.
Administers medication following department/unit standards and Nurse Practice Act.
Verifies and evaluates care delivered to ensure it is consistent with patient and family centered care principles, practice standards and regulatory requirements.
Supports the integration of current evidence into nursing practices.
Promotes an environment conducive to positive educational experience for all students and staff.
Provides effective patient/family education/discharge planning.
Effectively collaborates and communicates with nursing staff at all levels, interdisciplinary teams, executive leaders, and other stakeholders.
Communicates care appropriately through documentation in the medical record.
Reports variances in care/ systems/ processes through the appropriate means.
Participates in recruitment/retention of staff.
Facilitates development and implementation of nursing practice standards that are evidence-based and in compliance with ANA standards.
May perform other duties as assigned.
