Description

About Abacum

Abacum is the leading Business Planning solution for finance teams to drive performance. By automating reporting, enabling collaboration, and simplifying planning and forecasting, we help finance teams shift from number crunching to driving strategic decisions.

Founded in 2020 by two former CFOs, we’ve grown into a global team of 100+ people across 30+ nationalities. Headquartered in New York , we have offices in Toronto and Barcelona. We’re trusted by industry leaders such as Dish Networks, Strava, BetterUp, Kajabi, JG Wentworth, Abridge, Cortex , and hundreds more.

We have raised over $100m, closing in June 2025 our $60M Series B, led by Scale Venture Partners , with the strong participation of Cathay Innovation, Y Combinator , Atomico, Creandum, and angel operators from Adyen, Zapier, and Twitch.

Our mission is ambitious and we can’t do it alone - join Abacum as we build the future of Business Planning!

The Role

Implementation and partner delivery at Abacum is growing fast, and how well it holds together now shapes how the company scales. You'll be the person making sure it does, bringing real analytical and strategic rigor, not just process discipline. You'll build the data models and frameworks that route implementations and monitor capacity, and you'll be able to explain the why behind those models to leadership, not just maintain them.

The operational work is the foundation, but it's not the ceiling. Over time, expect to become a meaningful voice in how Abacum thinks about the post-sale commercial model strategically.

We're hiring for analytical horsepower and operational rigor more than a specific background. Strong candidates typically come from RevOps, strategy consulting, or another analytically-driven cross-functional operating role; people fluent in building a model from scratch, translating data into a business narrative, and holding their own with senior stakeholders. What matters is the instinct, not where you got it.

What You'll Own

Delivery model strategy: Own the framework that decides how every implementation gets delivered: in-house or through an SI partner. Create explicit, defensible criteria, then track how those calls play out and sharpen the model as new evidence comes in.

Capacity modeling: Build the model that maps implementation demand against delivery capacity (in-house bandwidth and SI partner throughput) so routing decisions are grounded in what's actually available, not best guesses.

Implementation health signals: Build the reporting that flags implementations falling behind before they slip, so leadership can intervene while there's still time to save the timeline.

Implementation operations: Document the delivery playbook, quality benchmarks, and tooling that make every implementation feel consistent, whether your team or a partner is running it. Define the milestones, the escalation triggers, and what "good" looks like end to end.

Cross-functional process design: Own the operational seams on either side of implementation: the handoff from closed-won to kickoff, and from implementation complete to CS. Set the standards for what information moves, when, and who owns escalation at each step. Work closely with the RevOps Lead and the Customer Operations Lead to keep both seams tight.

Partner delivery quality: Track and report on how SI partners perform against the same delivery bar you hold in-house, surfacing quality gaps early enough to act on. Own the quality signal those partners are measured against.

Time-to-value tracking: Define TTV benchmarks and own reporting against them, surfacing where implementations slow down and where in-house and partner-led performance diverges.

How You'll Work

This role sits inside the Strategy & Operations function and has a remit that cuts across implementation, partnerships, sales, and CS. You'll be embedded in those teams: attending stand-ups without running them, building routing frameworks with implementation leadership rather than for them, designing quality benchmarks in close collaboration with the people doing the work.

You'll have genuine scope to define what good looks like. The influence will come from what you build and the trust you earn, not from org chart authority. A process nobody uses is worse than no process at all, and the people you're working with will know the difference.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for RevOps, strategy consulting, or cross-functional operating backgrounds first - people who can build a rigorous model from scratch and just as comfortably present the "so what" to a room of senior leaders. Implementation or partner-delivery experience is not required; that's context you'll pick up fast. What's harder to teach is analytical range combined with real business judgment and the ability to communicate both clearly.

Specifically:

  • 5+ years in RevOps, strategy consulting, business operations, or a similarly analytical cross-functional role. You've built models and frameworks from scratch, not just maintained ones someone else designed.

  • Genuinely strong with data: comfortable pulling from multiple sources, structuring a model with defensible assumptions, and owning the reporting infrastructure behind it - a hands-on analytical build, not a light dashboard.

  • Systems-minded and process-oriented. Comfortable owning tooling decisions, building reporting infrastructure, and designing frameworks that scale.

  • Comfortable using AI tools in day-to-day work: automating workflows, accelerating analysis, building reporting infrastructure faster than the traditional approach. You see AI as a lever, not a novelty.

  • A track record of building process and structure where it didn't fully exist. Not waiting for someone else to define the playbook, and not building processes that look good on paper but don't get used.

  • Comfortable working across functions without formal authority and knowing how to influence without overstepping.

  • SaaS experience is a meaningful plus, especially in Fintech.

  • Proximity to implementation and partner programs is a bonus.

Why Take It

Implementation and partner delivery at Abacum is a growing, consequential motion. This role is the person who builds the operating infrastructure behind it: defining the playbook, setting the standards, and making delivery work consistently across channels.

The scope is meaningful and the people you'd be working with are good. For the right person, this is the moment to step into work you've been building toward. As the function matures, the infrastructure you build creates a natural path toward the strategic layer of the work.
