Job Description

As a Security Officer Entry Authorization in Cape Canaveral, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic retail and mall location, you will help create a welcoming environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, assisting visitors, and documenting security-related activity. You will maintain a professional presence, communicate clearly with team members and guests, and help deter incidents through attentive access management. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, employees, and vendors while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, security-related policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and access credentials, manage visitor sign-in processes, and direct authorized individuals throughout the location.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of retail common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Document incidents, visitor activity, access-control concerns, and other security-related observations in accordance with Allied Universal and site reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
