Description
A highly regarded hotel group in Polk County, FL, is seeking an accomplished General Manager to lead a well-established team at one of their highest-rated properties. This is an exciting opportunity to take the helm of a distinctive property that combines a relaxed resort atmosphere with convenient access to some of Central Florida’s most sought-after attractions, dining, shopping, and outdoor experiences.
Our ideal candidate will bring a strong background in hotel operations, with demonstrated success in driving revenue, enhancing the guest experience, and leading high-performing teams. Compensation Package: $85,000–$95,000 (Commensurate with experience) + Health Insurance, 401(k) with match, & PTO!
Relocation expenses will be provided on a case-by-case basis.
Requirements:
- At least 3-5 years of hotel general management experience.
- Proven track record of success in hotel management leadership roles, with strong ability to manage, motivate, and direct staff.
- Strong understanding of hotel operations, guest services, financial management, labor costs, and property-level expenses.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills with an enthusiastic, outgoing personality.
- Knowledge of hotel technical and maintenance aspects with a keen eye for detail and quality standards.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends based on occupancy and special events.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all day-to-day operations of the hotel across all departments.
- Lead, recruit, train, and nurture a high-performing hotel staff while handling hiring, promotional, disciplinary, and termination decisions.
- Drive revenue growth and review room inventory to maximize total room revenue.
- Inspect rooms and the property daily to uphold cleanliness, maintenance, and safety standards.
- Resolve guest-related issues promptly and professionally to consistently exceed guest expectations.
- Conduct daily/weekly staff meetings to maintain clear communication across all departments.
