About the Role

As a Warehouse Operative at Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions in Ballygawley, you will be responsible for the safe, accurate and efficient handling of materials throughout the warehouse operation. This includes receiving goods, booking deliveries into stock, picking and dispatching orders, carrying out stock control activities and maintaining high standards of housekeeping and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Goods Receipt & Booking On 

• Receive and unload inbound deliveries safely and efficiently. 

• Check deliveries against purchase orders and delivery documentation. 

• Book goods into the warehouse management/ERP system accurately and in a timely manner. 

• Report any shortages, damages or discrepancies to the Warehouse Co-ordinator or Supervisor. 

• Ensure all received materials are correctly labelled and stored.

Stock Control 

• Carry out stock movements and inventory transactions accurately. 

• Participate in cycle counts and annual stock takes. 

• Assist in investigating stock discrepancies. 

• Maintain stock accuracy through adherence to warehouse processes. 

Picking & Dispatch 

• Pick materials and products accurately according to customer or production requirements. 

• Prepare and pack orders for dispatch. 

• Ensure all dispatch documentation is completed correctly. 

• Load vehicles safely and securely in accordance with company procedures. 

Warehouse Operations 

• Store materials in designated locations. 

• Operate material handling equipment safely and effectively. 

• Maintain warehouse organisation and cleanliness. 

• Support continuous improvement activities within the warehouse. 

Health, Safety & Quality 

• Follow all company Health & Safety procedures and site rules. 

• Wear and maintain required PPE. 

• Report hazards, near misses and incidents promptly. 

• Ensure compliance with quality standards and operational procedures. 

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times. 

Essential Qualifications & Skills

• Previous warehouse or stores experience. 

• Good attention to detail and accuracy. 

• Ability to work as part of a team. 

• Good communication skills. 

• Basic computer skills. 

• Ability to work safely and follow procedures.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

• Experience using ERP systems such as Infor M3 or similar. 

• Experience using hand held scanning systems 

• Forklift Truck Licence (Counterbalance and/or Reach). 

• Experience within a manufacturing environment. 

• Knowledge of inventory control processes. 

Work Environment 

• On‑site Warehouse environment in Ballygawley 
• Day shift, 40 hours per week 
• Monday–Thursday: 7:00am – 4:00pm 
• Friday: 7:00am – 1:00pm
