Location: Fairfield, OH | Schedule: Monday–Friday, On-Site | Hours: Start between 7:00–8:30 AM
Employment: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire or Direct Hire | Salary: $60,000–$70,000 based on experience
We are seeking a Purchasing & Inventory Specialist to manage purchasing activities, maintain accurate inventory, and ensure materials are available to support production and office operations. This role will work closely with vendors, suppliers, production teams, and internal stakeholders to maintain stock levels, resolve discrepancies, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct cycle counts, physical inventory audits, and investigate discrepancies.
- Create purchase orders, verify pricing, and monitor delivery schedules.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder materials to prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Coordinate with vendors and production teams to ensure timely material availability.
- Resolve supplier issues involving quality, pricing, and delivery.
- Maintain organized and accurate inventory records and storage areas.
- Prepare inventory reports and metrics for management.
- Support shipping and receiving activities as needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory records during implementation of the Epicor ERP system.
- Assist with the transition of inventory currently stored/shipped to facility.
- Identify new products, trends, and opportunities to reduce costs.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of purchasing and inventory control experience.
- Experience with ERP systems and database management; Epicor experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
