Field Safety Specialist | Wilmington, DE

Responsibilities

HazTek is seeking a Field Safety Representative in Wilmington, DE to provide on-site safety oversight for an electrical contractor on an active construction project. This role will work closely with field crews and project leadership to identify hazards, support safe work practices, and help maintain compliance with site requirements.

 

Responsibilities

• Perform daily field observations and address unsafe conditions or practices
• Provide safety guidance for electrical construction activities, including energized work and lockout/tagout procedures
• Participate in pre-task planning, toolbox talks, and incident investigations
• Maintain safety documentation and communicate findings to project leadership

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of construction safety experience, including electrical safety oversight
• OSHA 510 required
• Electrical safety training or certifications preferred
• Strong communication skills and a hands-on field presence
• Excellent verbal and written skills
