Field Service Technician

Fibrebond by Eaton is seeking a Field/Site Services Technician to join our team. This position is based at our Minden, LA manufacturing facility. The core hours are based on operational needs and may vary depending on travel schedules, customer requirements, and project demands. This position requires travel up to 75% to customer sites, including overnight stays.

The Field/Site Services Technician performs maintenance repairs, punch-list work, warranty service (Call Tickets), and offload/setup support on Fibrebond-manufactured products at customer locations throughout the United States. This role requires extensive travel and a broad knowledge of Fibrebond products and manufacturing processes to provide high-quality field service and support while ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining safety standards.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $69,000 - $101,000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program and overtime compensation. ## What you’ll do:

• Perform maintenance, warranty, and punch-list repairs on Fibrebond-manufactured products in the field.
• Repair concrete, sheet metal building components, roofing systems, floors, wall coverings, ceilings, and exterior finishes.
• Complete paint, caulking, and exterior sealant repairs as required.
• Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, repair, and installation tasks.
• Support module offload and setup activities through self-performance or supervision of subcontracted activities.
• Travel to customer sites and project locations to perform assigned service work.
• Comply with all company safety requirements, customer site policies, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Complete required project documentation, expense reports, and work completion reports using mobile devices and technology platforms.
• Work collaboratively with customers, project teams, and co-workers to ensure successful project completion.
• Promote a safe work environment and ensure the safety of co-workers and others on-site.
• Protective Relays, Power Quality Measurements, Electrical Install, Paint, Mechanical Troubleshooting, protection & Control Design.
• Work on assigned projects for electrical & Mechanical equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

## Qualifications:

Basic (required) Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

One (1) year of Fibrebond manufacturing experience OR equivalent external experience supporting construction, industrial, mechanical, or electrical systems, maintenance, industrial service, or modular building environments.

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, including overnight travel via company vehicle and commercial airline transportation.
• Willingness to obtain OSHA 10, fall protection, forklift, and boom lift certifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two (2) years of field service experience evaluating and servicing electrical distribution or control systems
• Electrical or General Contractor’s License.
• Experience reading and interpreting shop drawings and construction documents.
• Working knowledge of offload and setup activities, rigging practices, and crane signaling.
• Experience performing power quality measurements, troubleshooting, analysis as well as protective relays
• NICET/NETA certification.

• Ability to work variable hours, including nights, weekends, and travel as required by customer and business needs.
• Ability to work safely with exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, fumes, and odors while wearing required PPE (including protective eyewear and steel‑toed boots)
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and maintain regular attendance.
• Ability to communicate effectively, interact professionally with employees at all levels, and maintain confidentiality and professionalism
• This role is designated as a Regular Driver per Eaton’s Driver Safety Policy and requires a current, unrestricted driver’s license along with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record. Candidates will be subject to a motor vehicle record check upon hire.
• Demonstrated commitment to electrical safety and safe work practices.
• Performs physically demanding tasks, including standing, walking, stooping, squatting, kneeling, reaching above, at, and below shoulder level, and using hands to handle and manipulate equipment. Frequently required to climb and regularly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds; occasionally required to move greater weights with assistance. May be required to drive extended distances, work in extreme weather and temperature conditions, and perform duties at sites with poor lighting, limited ventilation, dust, and elevated noise levels.
• Proficient with hand and power tools for equipment assembly.
• Strong computer, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues and solutions to customers and team members.
