The Field Service Engineer is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment at customer sites. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues efficiently to minimize downtime and ensure customer satisfaction. Travel required.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and configure equipment according to company and customer requirements.
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and software-related issues.
- Repair and replace defective components and parts.
- Respond promptly to service calls and customer support requests.
- Document service activities, maintenance records, and repair reports accurately.
- Provide technical training and operational guidance to customers and end users.
- Collaborate with engineering, technical support, and sales teams to resolve complex issues.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements or upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Manage service tools, test equipment, and spare parts inventory.
- Travel frequently to customer locations as required
Education and Experience Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or Military Equivalent. Experience in Industrial Technology, or a related field a plus.
- 2+ years of field service, maintenance, or technical support experience preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and service management systems.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively.

- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including occasional weekends and holidays.
- Ability and willingness to occasionally travel internationally on an as needed basis
