Job Description Summary
As a Business Process Specialist, you will be part of the Business Support team, responsible for driving operational excellence through performance management, process governance, systems optimization, and continuous improvement. Acting as a key partner to site leadership, you will support data-driven decision-making, operational standardization, and the successful execution of strategic and operational initiatives across the Maersk Maasvlakte II Site.

This position is based at our state-of-the-art Cross Dock facility in Maasvlakte II.

Key Responsibilities:
- Performance Management & Analytics: Monitor and analyse operational performance through KPIs, reporting, and data analysis. Translate operational data into actionable insights, identify improvement opportunities, and support business reviews to enable data-driven decision-making across the site.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify inefficiencies, process deviations, and performance gaps within warehouse operations. Lead and support improvement initiatives using structured problem-solving methodologies to enhance productivity, quality, service, and operational performance.
- Process Governance & Documentation: Develop, maintain, and standardize operational processes, procedures, and work instructions. Ensure critical business processes are documented, aligned with operational requirements, consistently applied, and continuously improved across the site.
- Systems Optimization: Support the effective use and continuous improvement of Warehouse Management Systems and related operational applications. Lead and support the testing, validation, implementation, and optimization of system functionalities to improve operational effectiveness and user experience.
- Project Management: Lead or support cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives aimed at improving operational performance, customer outcomes, and business growth. Coordinate stakeholders, manage actions and timelines, and ensure successful implementation of agreed solutions.
- Training & Capability Development: Support the development of operational capabilities by delivering training, sharing best practices, and coaching users on systems, processes, and continuous improvement methodologies. Promote a culture of ownership, learning, and operational excellence throughout the site.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in logistics, warehousing, supply chain operations, or operational excellence environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to convert data into business insights.
- Experience working with operational KPIs, reporting, and performance management.
- Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other operational applications.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across different functions and organizational levels.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic operational environment.
- Fluent in English, proficiency in Dutch is a plus
Preferred:
- Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Operational Excellence.
- Experience with project management and cross-functional initiatives.
- Knowledge of Power BI, Excel, Power Automate, SQL, or similar tools.
