Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Badge Access in Newberry, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by managing visitor access, verifying credentials, monitoring entry points, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service while supporting routine patrols and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, security-related policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points; verify credentials, visitor authorization, and vendor access in accordance with site requirements.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and delivery records; issue and collect access credentials as directed by site procedures.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including business operations, receiving areas, and the perimeter, to help deter unauthorized access.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
