Summary
Summary
The Inventory Supervisor oversees and coordinates inventory operations & logistics to ensure quality, compliance, and efficiency. This position accurately documents and tracks all cannabis/CBD product inventory from inception to final sale within the compliance software program, as well as all internal tracking systems. An Inventory Supervisor will work with multiple departments that are utilizing the software program, such as Sales, Research & Production. Inventory Supervisors will be versed in all inventory procedures to prevent loss through expiration, diversion and other issues related to commercial cannabis handling and processing. Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise training Inventory employees and assist with planning, assigning, and directing work
- Ensure Inventory teams understand and execute standard operating procedures, and have ongoing training based on SOP updates
- Oversee scheduling for team members, and delegation of work throughout the day
- Complete Employee Reviews based on company timelines and procedures
- Oversee inventory control based on company standards and state regulations:
- Document and enter all inventory from production kitchen into METRC, or other state-specific inventory tracking system
- Perform daily audits of physical inventory together with Inventory Leads
- Ensure inventory vaults are organized, and inventory is properly labeled and stored
- Oversee inventory levels and packaging planning
- Log all transfers from inventory items into finished packaged sellable units.
- Fulfill orders, complete manifest documentation, facilitate the intake and outtake of product with sales representatives
- Ensure orders are packed accurately and on time, and all checkpoints are met throughout the day
- Ensure transfers are packed and loaded onto trucks properly
- Oversee QC process for outbound orders
- Receive inventory
- Document and enter all inventory from production kitchen into METRC and other tracking systems
- Ensures clear labeling of all inventory
- Maintain a clean and organized inventory vault and ensure a safe working environment
- Batch Testing and sampling
- Oversee creation of paperwork for compliance sampling, METRC (or other state-specific platform) conversions from production batches, and manifests to the laB
- Scheduling testing pickups
- Receiving test results and uploading to production server
- Effectively communicate information and respond to questions/suggestions from various levels within the company
- Report any product or production equipment that appears damaged, spoiled, broken, unusable, or unsatisfactory in any way to supervisors
- Communicate discrepancies in quantities or quality of product
- Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned based on business needs
Qualifications

- Experience: At least 3 years of directly related experience and/or training in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably food or beverage; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must have experience working with a high sense of urgency preferably in a fast-paced work environment
- Must have at least 1 year of supervisory or lead experience
- Must have strong attention to detail
- Computer Skills: Microsoft suite (core applications), Google, Slack, experience in Jira and/or other management platforms and software preferred
- Language Skills: Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and written
- Math Skills: Possess basic mathematical skills; addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Travel Requirements: Occasional travel required between buildings and sites
- Ability to maintain/manage confidential information
- State regulations require all applicants must be 21 years of age or older
- ServSafe or Food Handler’s Card preferred
- Will be required to submit to a background check
- Must obtain all applicable state-required permits, licenses, and certifications
Benefits
You'll receive a salary rate of $63,000-$75,000k, 11 paid holidays, 120 hours vacation time, 401K, and fully paid health, dental and vision insurance.
