Are you an experienced bookkeeper looking for a rewarding opportunity to serve the Catholic community in Sioux Falls, SD? St Therese Parish is seeking a skilled Bookkeeper - Accountant to join our team and help us manage our financial records with accuracy and precision. As a Bookkeeper - Accountant , you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our parish and ensuring that our resources are being used effectively to support our mission. The position is a part-time accounting position, but if you are interested in additional administrative office duties, it could be full-time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily bookkeeping tasks such as recording financial transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and reconciling bank statements
- Prepare financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support decision-making by parish leadership
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections
- Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
We are looking for a detail-oriented Catholic with strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of bookkeeping principles. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in an accounting for financial role. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel is a must.
