Reporting to the Head of EHS, you will be responsible for supporting active customer and installation project sites, ensuring consistent EHS standards, effective stakeholder engagement, and robust compliance across all operations.

Tasks and Qualifications:
As the EHS Manager, you will act as the regional EHS lead, providing expert guidance and practical support to project teams, site management, contractors, and customers. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives, promote behavioural safety, and ensure compliance with both Dematic's EHS framework and local regulatory requirements.
This is a highly visible position requiring strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence positive safety behaviours across multiple sites and countries.
EHS Leadership & Compliance:
Act as the EHS Lead for customer sites and installation projects across the Nordics.
Ensure Dematic employees and contractors operate safely, legally, and in compliance with all EHS requirements.
Support the implementation and enforcement of Dematic EHS standards across all business functions.
Promote, enhance, and sustain a positive safety culture.
Ensure compliance with customer-specific and site-specific EHS standards.
Participate in design risk assessments and CEA reviews.
Maintain and monitor project risk registers and EHS controls.
Monitor adherence to site EHS plans and safe systems of work.
Regulatory & Technical Expertise:
Serve as the subject matter expert for local health, safety, and environmental legislation.
Advise site management teams on differences between local regulations and Dematic EHS standards.
Support local and regional EHS teams in achieving business and compliance objectives.
Provide practical solutions to EHS challenges across project and operational environments.
Conduct EHS inspections, audits, and compliance assessments.
Safety Improvement & Culture:
Lead behavioural safety and safety culture improvement initiatives.
Mentor, coach, and educate managers, supervisors, and employees on safety best practices.
Conduct Behaviour-Based Safety Observations (BBSO) and record findings through Gensuite.
Support sustainability and environmental initiatives across project sites.
Contribute to the maintenance and continual improvement of the Dematic Safe System of Work (SSoW).
Training & Incident Management:
Deliver EHS training and awareness programmes.
Develop and deliver toolbox talks, safety alerts, and other safety communications.
Support accident and incident investigations and identify corrective actions.
Review and assess the quality of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
Promote lessons learned and continuous improvement activities across the business.
Leadership:
Provide leadership and guidance to EHS professionals supporting installation projects.
Build strong relationships with customers, contractors, and project teams.
Influence operational leaders to achieve a best-in-class safety culture.
Experience & Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years' experience in an EHS role or significant EHS responsibility within a related role.
Minimum 3 years' experience working on installation, construction, engineering, or project-based sites.
Proven experience conducting audits, inspections, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
Experience delivering EHS training and coaching leaders and employees.
Strong understanding of contractor and construction safety management.
Knowledge of CDM Regulations.
Experience working with the Machinery Directive.
Experience within construction, material handling, automation, engineering, manufacturing, or logistics environments.
Experience using EHS management systems such as Gensuite.
NEBOSH Level 5 Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent).
Valid CSCS/CITB certification.
Appropriate professional memberships and certifications required to practice within the role.
IOSH Membership, IIRSM Membership, IPAF Certification
Ability and willingness to regularly travel to customer sites across the Nordics region.
