Leisure Focus is looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Café Supervisor to join our team and help lead the day-to-day operation of our café within one of our busy leisure centres.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is ready to take the next step in their hospitality career. You may already have experience working in a café, restaurant, hospitality or customer-facing environment and are now looking for the opportunity to develop your leadership skills and grow into a supervisory role.
You don't need to have years of management experience. We're looking for someone with the right attitude, energy and willingness to learn, who can take responsibility, support a team and help deliver an excellent experience for every customer.
What You'll Be Doing:
As Café Supervisor, you will play an important role in making sure the café runs smoothly, efficiently and safely.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the café and leading the team during your shift.
- Providing friendly, welcoming and professional customer service.
- Helping to motivate, support and develop café team members.
- Ensuring food and drinks are prepared and served to a consistently high standard.
- Supporting stock control, ordering and stock rotation.
- Managing cash handling and daily till procedures.
- Ensuring the café is clean, organised and presented to a high standard.
- Following all food safety, hygiene, health and safety procedures.
- Responding positively to customer feedback and resolving issues where appropriate.
- Supporting the Café Manager with day-to-day administration and operational tasks.
- Helping to train new team members and lead by example.
- Taking responsibility for the café in the absence of the Café Manager.
- Working closely with the wider leisure centre team to create a positive experience for customers and members.
What We're Looking For:
We're looking for someone who is keen to progress and develop their career in hospitality.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a café, hospitality, retail, leisure or customer service environment.
- A genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service.
- The confidence to lead and support a small team.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- A positive, approachable and can-do attitude.
- The ability to stay calm and organized in a busy environment.
- A good understanding of cleanliness, food hygiene and customer safety.
- The willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
- The flexibility to work a range of shifts, including some evenings and weekends.
