As part of our HeRos Team, our People Operations unit ensures a smooth, seamless employee experience from day one. In this role, you will implement and perform a variety of core HR processes, including maintaining accurate employee records and handling sensitive company information with the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality. You will join our dedicated 3-person People Operations Team based fully in Krakow, while interacting regularly with broader People functions across OANDA, including Talent Acquisition, People Partners, and Payroll. This is a unique chance to build key transferable HR skills in the financial space, with plenty of growth and development opportunities available along the way.

We work in a hybrid model - we'd love to meet you in the office a minimum of 2 days a week with respect to your own commitments.

What You’ll Do?

• Act as the primary point of contact for employee HR inquiries, triaging cases and managing operational support across the full employee lifecycle (Onboarding, Leave, Benefits, Internal Mobility, Compensation Updates, and Offboarding).
• Guide managers on HR policies, routine workforce queries, and day-to-day operational workflows.
• Initiate and oversee administrative workflows to guarantee accurate and timely execution, maintaining high data integrity within our HRIS (Workday).
• Own, document, and regularly update internal process documentation and Knowledge Base materials.
• Serve as a regional subject matter expert, ensuring local People processes align with statutory, legal, and regulatory standards.
• Drive continuous process improvement to standardize workflows and enhance the overall employee experience.
• Participate in functional design, testing, and rollout of new People tools and systems as needed.
• Champion change management across the region for new People & Talent programs, tools, and strategic initiatives.
• Maintain a global perspective, actively seeking cross-regional alignment and collaboration with global stakeholders.
  
  

What Makes You a Good Fit?

• 1 - 2 years of experience in People Operations, HR Administration, or an HR Generalist role.
• Fluency in English and Polish.
• Proactive, can-do mindset with the ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions.
• Attention to detail with a proven track record of handling confidential information professionally.
• Time management skills to prioritize high-volume tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Good communication and collaboration capabilities to partner effectively across teams.

Nice to have:

• Prior hands-on experience using Workday (or a similar HRIS platform).
• Tech-savvy approach with familiarity in Google Workspace (G Suite) or modern HR tech tools.
