Human Resources Coordinator
Location: Ohio, Onsite

Schedule: Monday through Friday, typically 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time

Select Sires, Inc. is seeking a highly organized, service-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to provide operational and administrative support across the Human Resources function.
This position is an excellent opportunity for an early-career HR professional who wants broad exposure to recruitment, onboarding, employee records, benefits, leave administration, compliance, payroll support, employee engagement, and HR systems. The Human Resources Coordinator will serve as an important point of contact for employees and applicants while helping ensure HR processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with organizational policies and applicable requirements.
The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, dependable, approachable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This individual will work closely with the Assistant Human Resources Manager and the Human Resources Manager to support employees, departmental priorities, and organizational success.
What You Will Do
Recruitment and Onboarding
- Coordinate job postings, interview schedules, candidate communications, and pre-employment requirements.
- Support hiring managers and HR staff throughout the recruitment and selection process.
- Coordinate onboarding activities and ensure all required employment documentation is completed.
- Prepare new-hire materials and assist with orientation activities.
- Maintain applicant tracking records and recruitment information.
Employee Records and HR Administration
- Maintain accurate and confidential personnel files and HR records.
- Process employee status changes, benefit elections, and other HR transactions.
- Help ensure employee information is complete and accurate within HR systems.
- Respond to routine employee questions regarding HR policies, programs, and procedures.
- Assist with employment verifications and records requests.
Benefits and Leave Administration
- Support employee benefit enrollment and administration processes.
- Assist employees with benefit documentation and general questions.
- Coordinate leave-related documentation and tracking.
- Maintain accurate benefit and leave records.
Compliance and Payroll Support
- Assist with Form I-9 administration, E-Verify requirements, and employment eligibility verification.
- Support HR audits and compliance reviews.
- Coordinate policy acknowledgments, employment documentation, and compliance training records.
- Assist with payroll preparation and employee data updates.
Employee Engagement and Department Support
- Assist with employee recognition, engagement, and wellness initiatives.
- Coordinate HR events, meetings, training sessions, and employee communications.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence.
- Support departmental projects and continuous improvement efforts.
- Provide professional, responsive service to employees, candidates, supervisors, and organizational leaders.
- Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive employee and organizational information.
Requirements
What You Will Bring
- Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field.
- One to three years of experience in human resources, payroll, administration, recruiting, or a related business function.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal, written communication, verbal communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, use sound judgment, and follow established policies and procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to learn and effectively use HRIS, payroll, applicant tracking, and related business systems.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to travel as required.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field.
- Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee records, benefits, or payroll administration.
- Experience using HRIS, payroll, or applicant tracking systems.
- Knowledge of employment documentation and HR compliance requirements.
- Experience in an agricultural, manufacturing, production, or multi-site organization.

Work Schedule and Travel
This position typically works Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time. Occasional scheduling flexibility may be needed to support recruiting events, orientations, training sessions, employee meetings, and other business needs.
Travel of up to 5% may be required, including occasional overnight travel. A company vehicle may be available for approved business travel when applicable.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to regularly use a computer, telephone, and other standard office equipment; sit for extended periods; frequently stand and walk; and occasionally bend, stoop, squat, kneel, push, pull, carry, or lift up to 25 pounds. The employee must be able to travel independently and safely when required and perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
