What You Will Do

Raytheon UK’s, Training Transformation Business, is looking for a Project Manager to join our Selborne Team. This team supports the delivery of all Royal Navy training, playing a key role in helping them to maintain their operational edge.

We do not need you to be a training expert, but we do need you to be an established project management professional.  Your day-to-day role will focus on galvanising an Integrated Programme Delivery Team, helping them to anticipate delivery risks and to overcome execution challenges, whilst ensuring that the team has the correct governance and controls in place to support success. This role will report to a Programme Manager within the business area.

The Role

Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.

Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to ensure project alignment and transparency.

Identify, mitigate and monitor project risks and issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Monitor project progress and performance, providing regular status updates and reports to senior management.

Track actual costs against planned budgets.

Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, promoting continuous improvement and best practices.

Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.

Support the regular review and update of cross-functional management plans.

Support the programme Change Process, including the management of Baseline Change Requests and Work Authorisations.

Qualifications You Must Have

A relevant Programme / Project Management qualification such as: Prince2; APMP; MSP.

An ability to work on site, in Portsmouth for 3 days per week, as well as occasional travel to other sites across the UK.

Qualifications We Prefer

Experience of working within the defence industry or alongside an MOD customer.

Working knowledge of project management software tools such as Microsoft Project, Visio, Excel and other relevant applications.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
