Strategic Partnerships & Affiliates (SPA) is a flourishing business with bold growth ambitions within Expedia Group’s B2B ecosystem. We sit at the intersection of B2B and B2C marketing, with a growing portfolio of products that help thousands of partners, brands, and individuals become successful in selling travel.

Role overview

The Strategic Initiatives, Senior Manager will play a critical role in shaping and accelerating the future growth of the SPA business. Reporting to the Director of Strategy & Go-To-Market (GTM), this individual will lead the identification, definition, prioritisation, and mobilisation of SPA's most important strategic growth initiatives. The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking, analytical rigour, commercial acumen, and strong stakeholder influence to turn complex opportunities into actionable plans and measurable business outcomes.

Key responsibilities will include;

Strategic Planning & Growth

• Support the development and evolution of SPA's long-term vision, strategic priorities, and growth agenda.
• Own strategic opportunity sizing, business case development, and investment analysis, partnering closely with Finance to align forecasts and prioritisation decisions.
• Translate strategic objectives into measurable business outcomes, KPIs, and performance tracking frameworks across SPA.
• Lead ad hoc strategic analyses to identify growth opportunities, optimise business performance, and inform executive decision-making.
• Serve as a trusted thought partner to SPA leadership, bringing external perspectives, market insights, and industry best practices to shape the future direction of the business.

Strategic Initiative Leadership

• Own a portfolio of high-impact strategic initiatives, from opportunity identification through to mobilisation and handoff for execution.
• Define initiative scope, business cases, success metrics, operating requirements, and implementation plans.
• Drive prioritisation across competing strategic opportunities, balancing business impact, feasibility, and resource requirements.
• Track initiative performance and outcomes, ensuring intended business value is realised.

Stakeholder Alignment & Delivery

• Build alignment across senior leadership teams and influence decision-making in complex, cross-functional environments.
• Develop compelling executive communications, presentations, and narratives that clearly articulate opportunities, recommendations, risks, and trade-offs.
• Establish governance structures, operating cadences, and success frameworks that enable effective execution and organisational alignment.

Experience & Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, business operations, or other strategic leadership roles.
• Experience in a top-tier consulting firm and/or a fast-paced technology, marketplace, or high-growth business environment.
• MBA or equivalent advanced business qualification preferred.
• Proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional strategic initiatives from concept through to launch and scaled business impact.
• Strong commercial acumen, with experience in opportunity sizing, business case development, strategic planning, and investment prioritisation.
• Deep understanding of business strategy and the ability to translate complex challenges into clear, actionable solutions.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience working closely with senior executives and cross-functional leadership teams.
• Highly structured problem solver with outstanding analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent communication, storytelling, and executive presentation skills.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments, managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Highly adaptable, proactive, and results-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
