Position: Senior Systems Specialist, Pension Services
The Job
- Responsible for on-going maintenance and upgrade of large scale Cohesity NetBackup for a HKSAR government sector customer.
- Technical hands-on position, reporting to infrastructure team supervisor.
- Non-Shift Duty Role, but out of office hour support is expected.
The Person
Mandatory Criteria
- University graduate.
- Minimum of 5 years of solid hands-on experience in Cohesity NetBackup support, configuration, major version upgrade in a large-scale enterprise environment backing up over 1000+ Virtualized / Physical servers.
- Demonstrated familiarity to use of MSDP Pool and enterprise scale deduplication appliances.
- Demonstrated familiarity to troubleshooting various types of backup policies such as Oracle or MSSQL database backup, BMR backup & recovery for physical servers, storage level snapshot backup.
- General familiarity to troubleshooting Windows servers.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
The ideal candidate should:
• Come from an IT System Integration company background;
• Have worked in either implementation or maintenance phase supporting Veritas / Cohesity NetBackup in a HKSAR Government IT Maintenance project (but not in a purely supervisory role overseeing the work of the SI vendor);
• Familiar with ITIL Processes such as Incident Management and Change Management; and
• Familiar with using ticketing systems such as BMC Remedy, OpenText SMAX to facilitate ITIL Processes.
