Description:

Advance Regulatory Excellence at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital

At NewYork-Presbyterian, we’re committed to delivering world-class care—and that means staying ahead of regulatory standards that ensure patient safety and quality. Our teams lead the way in performance improvement, compliance, and continuous readiness initiatives that shape the future of healthcare. Now, you can be part of that mission.

Quality & Patient Safety Regulatory Specialist

As a Regulatory Specialist, you’ll serve as a trusted resource and subject matter expert for hospital teams navigating Joint Commission, CMS, and DOH requirements. You’ll support continuous readiness efforts across inpatient and ambulatory settings, helping teams assess compliance, identify gaps, and implement sustainable solutions.

Working closely with clinical and operational leaders, departments, and service lines, you’ll help standardize accreditation and regulatory processes across the enterprise. You’ll facilitate the development and monitoring of corrective action plans, analyze and interpret data, and provide strategic recommendations that strengthen regulatory readiness and advance quality and patient safety.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced healthcare professional who thrives in a highly collaborative environment and is skilled at translating complex regulatory requirements into practical, actionable strategies.

Schedule & Location

This is a full-time, day-shift hybrid position, with four days in the office and the ability to work remotely one day per week.

The position will primarily support our northern locations, including Hudson Valley, Westchester, and The One, with travel to other NewYork-Presbyterian hospitals, joint ventures, medical groups, and physician organizations as needed.

Preferred Criteria

  • Master’s degree in a related field
  • Clinical licensure (RN, NP, PA, RD, PT/OT, or PharmD)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Lean Six Sigma certification
  • 3+ years project management experience, including the ability to develop project plans, manage scope and timelines, lead initiatives, and provide direction and support to project teams
  • Experience with Joint Commission or other regulatory survey activities in inpatient and ambulatory settings

Required Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years in healthcare-related roles
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS and DOH requirements and/or experience with Joint Commission or regulatory survey activities
  • Experience managing, analyzing, and interpreting data
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other web-based applications, along with knowledge of database concepts
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of leadership
