Job Description

Overview

Director, Digital & Information Management is a leadership role responsible for developing and implementing the digital strategy and information management framework for one of our major new build projects. The role is responsible for developing and implementing the digital strategy and information management framework for this project. The Director reports functionally to the Vice-President, Digital Solutions and operationally to the Project Director.

This Director ensures that all project data, documentation, and digital systems are integrated, secure, and aligned with company standards, regulatory requirements, industry standards, and project objectives. The position drives digital transformation to enable efficient collaboration, lifecycle data management, and regulatory compliance across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.

Key responsibilities include leading project teams, developing work execution plans, recruiting and assigning team members, managing project deliverables, organizational structure, budget, schedule, risk management, and overseeing people forecasting and levelling for the project.

Your role

  • Lead the development and execution of the Digital and Information Management strategy for a large-scale nuclear new build project.
  • Align digital initiatives with project objectives, corporate standards, regulatory requirements, and long-term asset lifecycle management.
  • Champion digital transformation through BIM, digital twins, data analytics, advanced collaboration platforms, and emerging technologies.
  • Establish and govern enterprise-wide information management frameworks, including data governance, metadata standards, and document control processes.
  • Ensure compliance with nuclear industry regulations, cybersecurity standards, and industry best practices such as ISO 19650 and IEC 62645.
  • Implement and manage integrated digital systems, including BIM, EDMS, project controls, scheduling, cost management, ERP, and asset information platforms.
  • Lead the deployment of Common Data Environments (CDE) and Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) solutions across EPCM partners, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Oversee project-wide BIM execution, ensuring cross-disciplinary integration, interoperability, data quality, and a single source of truth for project information.
  • Establish robust cybersecurity, digital safety, training, and corrective action programs to protect critical systems and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor digital performance, drive stakeholder adoption, report on system effectiveness and data integrity, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and cost optimization.

About you

  • Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in digital transformation, information management, or IT management within large infrastructure, engineering, energy, or industrial projects.
  • Strong expertise with BIM, Common Data Environments (CDE), Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS), and project controls platforms.
  • Experience with integrated 3D engineering design technologies such as Hexagon SmartPlant/Smart 3D, AVEVA, or comparable plant design systems.
  • Knowledge of nuclear new build projects, reactor design, construction execution, and nuclear industry operating practices is preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage direct reports, and support project delivery organizations through complex digital initiatives.
  • Solid understanding of Advanced Work Packaging (AWP), engineering, procurement, and construction workflows within large capital projects.
  • Familiarity with ISO 19650 information management standards, cybersecurity frameworks, and nuclear regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Strong commitment to nuclear safety culture, industrial safety programs, quality assurance standards, and continuous regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated leadership, stakeholder engagement, communication, customer relationship, and organizational management skills with the ability to drive change.
  • Proven ability to exercise sound judgment, accountability, teamwork, delegation, problem-solving, and decision-making while performing effectively in high-pressure environments.
