As a Maintenance Technician at the Grove Hotel, you will support a clean, safe, and fully functioning environment by completing hands-on repairs, responding to service requests, and helping ensure an exceptional guest experience.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
• Perform routine preventative maintenance in guest rooms and public spaces.
• Respond to work orders from hotel departments and guest requests in a timely, professional manner.
• Change air filters in guest rooms and air handling units.
• Assist with plumbing tasks, including basic pipe repairs and soldering.
• Complete electrical and mechanical repairs such as replacing sockets, ballasts, motors, and belts.
• Patch, install, or repair drywall and wallpaper as needed.
• Paint and touch up interior surfaces throughout the property.
• Complete basic carpentry tasks such as assembling or repairing furniture and fixtures.
• Maintain clean and organized workspaces during and after projects.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Willingness to learn new tasks and troubleshoot unfamiliar problems.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC preferred (not required).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to work in varying conditions, including hot or confined areas.
