Description
AvaMed Workforce is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a 6-month evening contract at California State Prison, Corcoran in Corcoran, CA (Medical, 8-hour shifts).
Assignment details
- Location: California State Prison, Corcoran (COR), Corcoran, CA
- Dates: 11/23/2026 - 05/23/2027 (6 months)
- Shift: Wednesday-Sunday, 1:45 PM-10:15 PM (8-hour shifts, 30-min meal)
- Orientation: 1 week; on-the-job training 4-6 weeks
- Cerner EHR and basic computer skills highly desired

Responsibilities
- Assist with patient care, vital signs and activities of daily living
- Document care accurately and report changes to nursing staff
- Follow all safety, security and contraband procedures
Requirements
- Active California CNA certification (CDPH)
- Current BLS (AHA)
- Correctional experience preferred
- Background check and facility security clearance
- TB test, immunizations and facility health clearances
