Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Hospital in Ventura, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer supporting a government healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to visitors, staff, and patients. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, patients, staff, and members of the public at a government healthcare location while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related responsibilities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and emergency situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and support visitor management procedures in accordance with site policies, directing individuals to appropriate areas when needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
