Description

Who are we?

Equinix is the world’s digital infrastructure company®, shortening the path to connectivity to enable the innovations that enrich our work, life and planet.

A place where bold ideas are welcomed, human connection is valued, and everyone has the opportunity to shape their future.

A career at Equinix means being at the center of shaping what comes next and amplifying customer value through innovation and impact. You’ll work across teams, influence key decisions, and help shape the path forward. You’ll find belonging, purpose, and a team that welcomes you—because when you feel valued, you’re empowered to do your best work.

Job Summary
Reporting to Equinix's CMO, the VP, Brand and Digital Marketing owns global brand strategy and identity, the content and narrative agenda, paid media investment, social channel execution, and the corporate web experience — bringing them together into one coherent, differentiated expression of the platform company Equinix is building. Leading the Brand, Social Media, Content, Paid Media, and Web teams, the VP acts as a strategic content partner to the Communications Team, and works closely with Revenue Marketing, Product & Technical Marketing, Field & Partner Marketing so that brand building and demand generation reinforce one another.

Responsibilities

  • Own Equinix's global brand strategy, identity, and creative standards, ensuring one consistent platform-company expression across every market and channel
  • Lead the creative and design function and steward brand health, awareness, and reputation metrics
  • Commission original research and analyst-grade data that fuels storytelling across owned, earned, and paid channels
  • Maintain core messaging architectures and editorial standards that Sales, Marketing, and Demand-gen draw from
  • Own global paid media strategy, budget allocation, and agency partnerships across digital and offline channels
  • Drive measurable reach, efficiency, and pipeline contribution, with clear attribution on brand and demand investment
  • Lead the corporate web properties as a primary growth, conversion, and credibility channel
  • Drive site strategy, UX, SEO/GEO, and continuous performance optimization
  • Own social channel strategy, content, and engagement across brand and marketing channels
  • Partner closely with Communications/PR on narrative consistency, industry visibility, and analyst relations
  • Comms leads external reputation, Company Narrative and media strategy; this role leads brand expression and content supply
  • Work with AMER, EMEA, and APAC leaders to adapt global narratives locally without fragmenting core positioning
  • Lead and develop global teams across Brand, Social, Thought Leadership, Paid Media, and Web, with clear succession and growth plans

Qualifications

  • Deep brand, content, and integrated marketing leadership in global, matrixed organizations, spanning editorial and corporate environments
  • Track record building brand and thought leadership programs that measurably shifted market perception of a company or category
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams across brand, creative, social, content, paid media, and web
  • Deep familiarity with enterprise technology markets (cloud, connectivity, AI, digital infrastructure)
  • Proven partner to C-suite executives, analyst firms (Gartner, Forrester, IDC), and agencies
  • Strategic narrative builder — architects the ideas that define categories, not just campaigns that describe products
  • Editorial leader with exceptional writing judgment and a high quality bar across the content organization
  • Executive influence — earns senior leaders' trust and shapes how they show up in market
  • Commercially minded and analytical, connecting brand, content, and media spend to pipeline and differentiation
  • Strong people leader and change agent across diverse creative disciplines
