Our People function plays a central role in helping RSM attract, engage and retain the talent needed to deliver our ambitions. Within Talent & Workforce Capability, we are building a more strategic, commercially focused and market-led approach to recruitment across the firm.

We are looking for a Head of Experienced Hire Recruitment to report to the Director of Talent & Workforce Capability. This senior leadership role will be responsible for experienced-hire and contractor/contingent recruitment across Audit, Tax, Consulting and Core Functions, with oversight of Executive Recruitment, sourcing and Global Mobility. You will combine strong delivery leadership with deep business understanding, external market expertise and effective governance to create an outstanding candidate and stakeholder experience.

You’ll make an impact by:

• Leading the firm’s Experienced Hire recruitment strategy and operating model, with clear governance, accountabilities, controls and service standards.

• Shaping the approach to contractor, contingent and flexible workforce recruitment, enabling the firm to access specialist capability at pace and with commercial discipline.

• Building trusted relationships with senior leaders and translating business strategy, growth ambitions and workforce requirements into targeted recruitment and sourcing plans.

• Providing strategic oversight of Executive Recruitment, and sourcing, ensuring these capabilities connect effectively to wider talent and workforce priorities.

• Bringing external market insight on competitor activity, talent availability, skills shortages, market rates and emerging workforce trends to support better decisions.

• Leading, developing and creating accountability within a high-performing recruitment function, fostering expertise, collaboration, pace and continuous improvement.

• Improving candidate and stakeholder experience across permanent, contingent and executive hiring, working across the People function to create a seamless journey.

• Using technology, automation, data and analytics to improve efficiency, strengthen management information and provide transparency on demand, delivery, cost, quality and supplier performance.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for an experienced recruitment leader who combines strategic thinking, exceptional business partnering and deep recruitment-market expertise with a strong delivery mindset.

We value diverse experiences and perspectives. Here’s what we’re looking for in our ideal candidate:

• Significant senior leadership experience in Experienced Hire, Talent Acquisition or Recruitment within, professional services or similar

• Deep expertise in contractor and contingent recruitment, including developing workforce strategies, governance and commercially effective supplier relationships.

• Credibility as a trusted adviser to senior leaders, with outstanding business partnering skills and the confidence to influence and constructively challenge.

• Knowledge of permanent and contingent talent markets, with the ability to turn external insight and competitor intelligence into practical workforce recommendations.

• Experience leading recruitment across multiple business areas and a broad range of professional, specialist, executive and senior appointments.

• A strong commercial and data-led approach, including meaningful targets, KPIs, management information and performance reporting.

• A demonstrable record of leading change, improving recruitment governance, processes, efficiency and candidate experience, and developing high-performing teams.
