Job Type: Part Time. Hourly (Non-Exempt)

Salary Range: Between $105 - $150/day.

For more than 40 years, The Center has been a critically important resource for Illinois education. The Center: Resources for Teaching and Learning, is a nationally recognized professional development and educational services organization dedicated to better teaching and learning in early childhood, elementary, secondary and adult education.  

Our focus is on education professionals who serve distressed and at-risk populations — children at risk of academic failure, young children with special needs, students from linguistically and culturally diverse backgrounds, refugees and immigrants. We also serve professionals that work with adults who seek to advance their position by obtaining U.S. citizenship, a GED, improved language skills, or basic skills needed to hold and advance from service jobs.

Position Description – What the Role Entails:

1. Supervise and manage the classroom to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
2. Implement lesson plans left by regular teacher and adapt as necessary to meet the needs of students.
3. Communicate effectively with school staff to ensure continuity in education.
4. This role reports to Carol Raimondi.  

Areas of Accountability - What you will be doing:

1. Follow ECDEC and school district policies and procedures. 
2. Collaborate and interact positively and effectively with paraprofessionals, teachers, administrators, other personnel and parents.
3. Continuously engage in best practices and uphold standards of a high quality early childhood program.
4. Demonstrate professionalism.

The Center’s Work Environment – What to expect:

1. You will be on site at your assigned school, and you will have a hands-on role in the classroom. 
2. You will need to assist children the classroom and support their learning environment (sitting, standing, movement activities, etc.).

1. This position gives you the flexibility to work when and where you like.

Position Qualifications – What is required to Perform the Role:

• Sub License.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.
