The Food Safety & Compliance team plays a vital role in safeguarding food safety standards across our grower base and throughout the wider supply network. This includes maintaining robust food safety programs, certifications, and due diligence processes that support our growers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
As a Food Safety & Compliance Trainee, you will support the Food Safety / Quality Assurance (QA) team with a range of structured administrative and coordination activities. This internship offers practical, hands‑on experience within the fresh produce industry and provides insight into food safety and compliance processes in an international, grower‑focused organization.

 

Responsibilities

In this role, you will play an active part in supporting daily compliance activities and ensuring that processes and documentation are accurate and up to date.

Your tasks will include:

• Maintaining and updating food safety manuals, procedures, and supporting documentation

• Processing, managing, and organizing due diligence and compliance data related to our grower base and supply chain

• Providing administrative support to the Food Safety / QA team

• Assisting with customer- and grower‑related food safety and compliance questions

• Supporting structured processes related to audits, certifications, and food safety standards

   

Candidate Profile

You are a motivated and eager‑to‑learn student who enjoys working in a structured environment and wants to gain practical experience within the fresh produce sector and an international context.

What You Bring

• Currently pursuing an MBO or HBO degree
• Looking for an internship where you can actively contribute while gaining real hands‑on experience
• Detail‑oriented, well‑organized, and reliable in your work
• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of tasks
• Strong communication skills, particularly in an online and remote working environment
• Interest in food safety, compliance, processes, and administrative work
• Affinity with the fruit / fresh produce industry is a strong advantage
