KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Define and drive OS&S Plan-2-steer strategy
- Develop and execute the global operational strategy and roadmap for the OS&S Plan-2-steer service line, aligning resources and technology investment with growth targets and continuous improvement initiatives.
Operational service excellence and performance
- Lead and oversee the OS&S Plan-2-steer process operations within the global OS&S service line, ensuring timely, efficient, and high-quality service delivery to the broader Omya organization and across all business units.
- Accompany the roll-in/ transition of Plan-2-steer services into the OS&S
- Provide subject matter expertise and direction as the escalation point for Plan-2-steer process related matters
- Ensure adherence of process operations to agreed service levels
- Work closely together with the Plan-2-steer process owners to ensure continuous improvement of the operational process and ways of working
Compliance and risk management
- Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements (e.g., IFRS, local GAAP, GDPR), internal controls, and Omya corporate policies throughout all serviced activities.
- Drive implementation of effective OS&S Plan-2-steer governance frameworks and control mechanisms in close alignment with Omya AG counterparts to manage risk and ensure compliance, working closely with key internal and external stakeholders including auditors, regulatory authorities.
Lead OS&S Plan-2-steer service line teams
- Lead service line teams and encourage collaboration and innovation through (cross-)process projects and hybrid teams structures
- Set clear performance targets and accountability frameworks for service line teams, ensuring delivery excellence and capability building.
- Actively contribute to and foster Omya's culture and values among team members
- Ensure training and professional advancement opportunities
Stakeholder management and communication
- Work in close alignment with the Executive Vice president Omya Services & Solutions and serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, driving executive alignment and stakeholder buy-in
- Closely collaborate and align in daily operations with Omya Group Finance
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
- University Degree in Business Administration, Accounting & Finance, Economics or any other related field.
Experience
- Min. 10 years of relevant working experience in a related position with leadership responsibilities. Previous international deployment is a plus
Knowledge and skills
- 'Proven experience managing global or multi-regional Plan-2-steer, Controlling or related process-/functional departments
- Deep understanding of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic planning cycles
- Expertise in IFRS/local GAAP, Planning and Forecasting
- Ability to manage cost center structures, overhead allocation, and margin analysis
- Strong grasp of emerging technologies, digital platforms, and data-driven decision-making
- Ability to challenge assumptions constructively, influence sr. stakeholders' decisions, and navigate ambiguity
- Skilled in navigating complex organizational structures and managing priorities
- Evidence-based approach to problem-solving, with strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills
- Experience managing diverse teams and driving initiatives across multiple geographies
- Excellent organizational skills
- Creative and critical thinking skills
Other requirements
- Excellent command of both oral and written English are required
- Good command of both oral and written additional language is beneficial
- Willingness to travel up to 10-15%
