Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays an essential role in the delivery of treatment services at Pyramid Healthcare. This position is responsible for providing direct nursing services, medication administration, client monitoring, withdrawal management support, client education, and clinical support services in accordance with physician orders, nursing standards of practice, accreditation standards, and applicable state and federal regulations.
The LPN collaborates with physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and interdisciplinary treatment team members to promote client safety, continuity of care, positive treatment outcomes, and quality service delivery.

Pay: $30 - $32/hr before shift differentials.
Shift: 7:00am or 7:00pm OR 7:00pm - 7:00am every other weekend.
Shift differentials:
1st Shift: Saturday and Sunday $1.50
2nd Shift differentials: (Monday - Friday) $1.00, Saturday and Sunday $2.00
3rd Shift Differentials: (Monday - Friday) $2.00, Saturday and Sunday $3.00
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing services and clinical support to clients in accordance with physician orders, nursing standards, and organizational policies.
- Complete nursing assessments, screenings, observations, and related documentation as assigned, including admission-related nursing activities.
- Administer medications and monitor client response to treatment, medication effectiveness, and potential side effects.
- Implement and monitor withdrawal management protocols, including completion of COWS, CIWA, and other clinical assessment tools as applicable.
- Provide medication education, health education, and nursing support to clients and families as appropriate.
- Coordinate and support physicians, nurse practitioners, and other medical providers during assessments, medication management appointments, and treatment planning activities.
- Monitor client health status and communicate significant clinical findings, concerns, and changes in condition to appropriate treatment team members.
- Maintain medical equipment, medication storage areas, and clinical supplies in accordance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment team members to support continuity of care and treatment planning.
- Collaborate with treatment team members to support client care, communication, and continuity of services.
- Must exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality with regard to all company information.
- Completion of all required trainings as designated by the company and accreditation/licensing entities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Licensure, Education, & Experience
- Current unencumbered LPN license in state of practice required.
- Current CPR/BLS, AED and First Aid required.
- One year of experience in a behavioral health treatment setting preferred.
- Background in Substance Use Treatment and Co-occurring Disorders preferred.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to handle objects, equipment, and medical supplies, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb stairs, stand, walk, stoop, twist, kneel, or crouch. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and seldom lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
This position operates in behavioral health, healthcare, residential treatment, outpatient treatment, and community-based healthcare environments. Employees may interact with individuals experiencing substance use disorders, mental health conditions, withdrawal symptoms, medical concerns, and crisis situations. Employees may encounter exposure to bloodborne pathogens, bodily fluids, communicable illnesses, medications, and emotionally sensitive or traumatic situations. Local travel may be required based on operational needs.
